One time in Toronto, the power went out

Newsroom blackout sketch by Tonia Cowan. Can you spot me?
The power went out today, which was a pretty big deal for us in the Toronto newsroom. My Facebook friend (and co-worker) Tonia sketched this picture of some of us working. More of her sketches on are her blog.
And while the picture on the right would have you believe only the Life section worked in the emergency nerve centre, the presence of me clearly indicates the business section knew how to panic on deadline too.
For the record, I made my deadline. But I missed the daycare deadline by 45 minutes.
All to say, no entry today. It’s hot and the power went out – we have it very, very hard here in Toronto. Please send some Tang.
